Read Me
I'm Daniel Bridges. I've spent 20 years working inside digital businesses, across sales, marketing, product, and operations. I'm based in Wellington, New Zealand, and I'm looking for a senior leadership role where I can own something real and actually make a difference to how a company grows.
Background
My career has covered a lot of ground: e-commerce, digital marketing, sales, SaaS, travel tech, and business development, across startups, established businesses, and even cultural organisations like the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. I've owned revenue targets, built commercial partnerships, developed strategies, and led global teams through good times and through times of change.
I've most recently been on a fixed term contract as Director of Business Development at BookingPal, a global vacation rental distribution platform, where I worked with international SaaS and marketplace businesses on growth strategy and commercial partnerships.

What I'm Looking For
I'm on the lookout for a senior role at a company that's growing and wants someone to help run something properly. GM, Chief Digital Officer, VP of Product or Growth, Head of Commercial, something along those lines. Title is less important than scope.
I want to be close to the decisions that matter, with a team I can develop and a leadership group that's worth working alongside. I'm not looking for a caretaker role or a committee. I'd love ownership and room to move.
I'm at my best in companies that honestly care about customer experience, with teams that genuinely like working together, and clear goals with the resource to achieve them.
How I Work
I'm commercially minded and pretty direct. I build relationships quickly, I don't create unnecessary noise, and I follow through on things. I've managed teams across different time zones and seniority levels and I've found the job is mostly about being clear on where you're going and making sure people feel like they're part of getting there.
Curiosity and learning are important to me
On the side, I've built a couple of small consumer apps: Holdie, a personal portfolio tracker, and Shelfie, a cookbook indexing app. Check them out, they're in production. I'm not a developer by trade, but I find it interesting to understand how things are built, and it means I can have a more honest conversation with the people who do it for a living.
It's also a good reminder that shipping something of value is harder than it looks, even when it's small.
