I Wish There Was a Way To…

The phrase that's led to almost everything I've built with Claude Code, most recently a digital business card put together in a hotel lounge in ten minutes.

I wish there was a way to…. So far, it's those moments when I catch myself asking myself that question that have led to the more useful things I've done with Claude Code.

I'm looking for my next role (hint: I'm still available), and when you're not in a job, it's hard to find the repeatable tasks that agentic flows are supposed to solve. So instead, I've had to look for inspiration in my day-to-day.

I've built a personal website, a tool to help find recipes, a poker cash-up calculator and more. And they all started with "I wish there was a way to…"

This week, I invested in my job search by attending No Vacancy in Sydney. It's a great hotel industry conference, and I caught up with lots of old friends and met new ones. For the new ones, with no business card (again, no job), I wished there was an easy way to share my contact details.

So I went to the lounge and within ten minutes had a digital card I can save to my homescreen, with a QR code for people to scan to either go straight to my LinkedIn or save my contact straight to their phone. Done! And it worked a treat.
